Online Searching provides a detailed overview of our online databases including MEDLINE and other information resources.

RefWorks is a web-based bibliographic management software used to generate reference lists. In this workshop, participants will create a RefWorks account, learn to import citations directly from a few of the Library's most popular databases, organize collections of references, and generate a bibliograhy.

EndNote
EndNote simplifies writing papers by organizing your citations into a personal database. You can add references and format bibliographies with the click of a mouse! This is an advanced class. Attendees must know how to search MEDLINE and use MS Word.

METC Classes
PowerPoint
This class covers how to add slides to a presentation based on a design template. How to create autoshapes, draw lines and shapes, add images slides, and animate the slide or presentation.

(NOTE:This class is restricted to Rush University students and faculty only)

This course will introduce the basic concepts and use of spreadsheets in Excel. Excel terms and definitions will be explained as well as how to create and enter data into a new Workbook, use formulas, format data, and create a chart from Excel data.

Dealing With Images
This class will cover how to find medical images from various online sources and how to scan them for presentation. A basic overview of copyright law regarding the use of images as well as an explanation on image resolution and importing images into documents and presentations will be included.
